PERANAN ORANG TUA SEBAGAI ANGGOTA KOMITE DI SEKOLAH MENENGAH ATAS (SMA) KRISTEN PALANGKA RAYA

Abstract

Society is an important component in the success of educational activities, the active and caring community for educational activities is indispensable in the development of education in a better direction. Communities involved in the committee's organization can provide input and aspirations to support educational activities. Communities consisting of parents / guardians who are members of the committee are expected to be active in every decision making in the school either as mediator, motivator, supporter, or initiator of ideas for school programs. Thus a good relationship between school and community is essentially a very instrumental means in fostering and developing personal growth of students in schools and realize various school programs to achieve educational goals at school. This study aims to find out how the role of parents as members of the committee in Christian High School Palangka Raya which includes the role as a provider of consideration, supporters, controllers, and mediators. The population in this study is the board and members of the committee of Senior High School (SMA) Kristen which amounted to 34 people, in the sample study used is the total sample where the entire population used as sample research. The method used is descriptive method, data collection techniques using observation techniques, questionnaires and interviews and documentation while data analysis using the formula percentage. Based on the results of data analysis can be concluded: The role of parents as a member of the committee In Palangka Raya Christian High School (SMA), it can be concluded that the answer "Very Good" is (13.7%,) and the answer "Good" is equal to (58.7%), and those who answered "Good Enough" were (21.4%), and those who answered "Less Good" were (6.5%). From the above percentage percentage, the highest percentage of "Good" answers (58.7%) indicates that this "Good" criterion proves that the role of parents as a member of the committee In Palangka Raya Christian High School can be categorized as "Good ".
