IMPROVING THE STUDENT’S FOREHAND DRIVE IN TABLE TENNIS THROUGH GAMES APPROACH AT PHYSICAL EDUCATION STUDY PROGRAM OF PASUNDAN

ABSTRACT


    This research is to improve the student’s learning outcomes of forehand drive in table tennis through games approach at third semester of physical education study program students of Pasundan. The action research was conducted to get information in-depth about the application of learning model approach through games approach in table tennis. Subjects of the research were students of class 2H at third semester of physical education study program of  Pasundan, in case of 30 students.


    The research was conducted with six sessions consisted of two cycles , each cycle by three meetings , the first cycle is realized by giving motivation to the students as they plan and models of learning , the results of the average value of student’s forehand drive learning in table tennis is 63.97 or 60 % of the students completed . The second cycle is realized by reflected the results from first cycle that is motivated the students as they plan and models of learning , the result is 70.92 or 83 % of students completed


    Based on the results of the research concluded that : (1) The model of learning of forehand drive through games approach is improved the students’ learning outcomes, (2) by the model of learning through games approach is motivated the student to participate actively in the learning process .
